Burnside Connector

The Project

Axeman was proud to contribute to the successful completion of the Burnside Connector and Highway 107 Project in HRM, a critical addition to Nova Scotia’s 100 Series highway network. This long-awaited infrastructure upgrade addresses a key gap, significantly enhancing safety and reducing travel times for both commuter and commercial traffic.

The Solution

Our scope of work included the landscaping and hardscaping of multiple highway roundabouts and surrounding areas. Key project elements included:

  • Installation of several acres of soil and hydroseed using our premium, in-house produced topsoil to ensure optimal growth and long-term sustainability.

  • Creation of well-defined planting areas featuring a selection of hardy shrubs and trees suited to the local climate.

  • Integration of a large quantity of high-quality brick pavers into the design of each roundabout to ensure durability and visual appeal.

This project reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, functionality, and aesthetics in infrastructure landscaping. Axeman is pleased to have played a role in this vital improvement to the region’s transportation network.
